Be Deer Aware this spring!

Be Deer Aware this spring!

Every year, many people are killed or injured in road collisions with deer.

Deer are highly active this time of year as yearling animals disperse, looking for their own territories.

Deer are highly unpredictable. They don’t understand the Green Cross code. They can bolt across the road without warning, leaving you little time to react. And worst of all, they are most active in the half light of dawn and dusk.

So, slow down and watch out; use full beam where you can but dip your lights if you do see deer on the road. And don't swerve to avoid one - you may hit another deer or cause an accident with another vehicle.

Please, please this spring; slow down and watch out; deer are about.
