New Woodlands for Stalker Agreements

On behalf of The Woodland Trust and the RSPB, The Deer Initiative is working to deliver sustainable deer management in a number of woodlands on their estates throughout England & Wales.

We are currently seeking suitably qualified volunteers to assist with deer management. If you believe you have the time, patience and appropriate skills to help manage deer in small woodlands with full public access, please download the application form below.

To be considered for this role you must be able to provide proof that you hold the following: 

· DSC2 or equivalent

· Valid British Firearms Certificate including authorisation to hold a calibre of firearm & moderator which is suitable and legal for all deer species in England and Wales 

· Valid Public Liability Insurance to a minimum value of £10 million

· Emergency First Aid + Forestry

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 27th September 2017. Interviews for the South of England will be held on the 11th & 12th October 2017. Interviews for the Midlands and North will be held on the 17th & 18th October 2017.
